CLIENT – WAR CHILD HOLLAND
CHALLENGE

OUTCOME
An award-winning and widely-acclaimed film that offers a ray of hope for children in war-torn zones by visualizing a brighter and more secure future.
IMPACT
We aimed to galvanize support for War Child Holland with a clear call to action and to raise awareness about the transformative effects of mental support. Our animation empowers its target audience, the children themselves.
In a powerful collaboration with War Child Holland, Bumbuku embarked on a poignant animation journey that transcends the boundaries of conventional storytelling. This case study delves into the creation of a compelling narrative that not only showcases our creative prowess but also sheds light on the transformative impact of War Child Holland’s work in healing the wounds of children affected by the trauma of war.

The animation unfolds in the depths of the darkest woods, symbolising the harrowing experiences of children who have faced the horrors of war. We meticulously crafted a narrative that captures the essence of despair, fear, and the yearning for a brighter tomorrow. The central theme revolves around resilience, hope, and the potential for healing, portraying a delicate balance between the grim reality and the possibilities of a safer future.

Our animation expertise breathes life into the characters, each representing a facet of the children’s journey. From the haunting shadows of war to the subtle nuances of expressions conveying resilience, the animation serves as a visual testament to the emotional depth embedded in the narrative. The transition from darkness to light is carefully choreographed, symbolising the gradual process of healing and recovery.
