Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) GIFs

BUMBUKU animated the UN Sustainable Development Goals for change-makers around the world and created 17 GIFs. They can be downloaded and used by change-makers and social impact organisations for advocacy and campaigns.

 TOOL –
OUR MISSION
Helping change-makers use the power of videos, grab attention of their audience, increase their engagement and hence increase awareness about their cause
WHY?
We know that many social impact organisations are struggling with finding funding for their cause and try to increase awareness with limited resources.
ACTION

Animate SDGs and create 17 GIFs ready to be used on websites, social media posts, etc. by change-makers to grab attention of their audience.

If you are a change-maker, an NGO, non-profit organisation or Social Enterprise, you are more than welcome to download these GIFs and use them for your cause.

Here are 3 fun facts about videos;

1- Using videos on landing pages will increase conversions by 86%. (Wordstream, 2018)
2- Tweets with videos get over six times as many retweets as tweets with photos. (Wochit, 2018)
3- 64% of consumers say watching a marketing video on Facebook has influenced a purchase decision of theirs in the last month. (Animoto, 2017)

We, of course, know that you are not trying to sell something or increase your profits but why not use the power of the videos for a good cause, engage with your target audience, increase awareness about your cause or help people make decisions to support or donate your organisation.

We believe that these animated gifs will help you do all of those things. You can use the animated SDG gif to upload on your website – you can just add it like an image and it will be animated automatically – or use in your social media posts, or anywhere else for your advocacy and campaigns. Here you can see below an example of their usage in our own goals.

WHAT ARE SDGs?

On 1 January 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — adopted by world leaders in September 2015 at an historic UN Summit — officially came into force.  Over the next fifteen years, with these new Goals that universally apply to all, countries will mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.

The SDGs build on the success of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and aim to go further to end all forms of poverty. The new Goals are unique in that they call for action by all countries, poor, rich and middle-income to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and addresses a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
